As per Diocesan directive on its status quo position regarding the Congregation’s Orans and Post Consecration posture, we will follow the old practice where the faithful STANDS AFTER the Consecration (sanctification of Bread and Wine) instead of remaining in the kneeling position. Both kneeling and standing positions are considered signs of adoration and respect.
For the recitation of the “Our Father”, everyone is encouraged to refrain from following the Priest’s Orans position OR holding each other’s hands. Hence, we may assume the prayer position or place our hands by our side. Only the Presiding Priest will extend his hand as he offers our prayers & petitions to our Lord. We encourage uniformity in this regard. Thank you for your cooperation.
