3 for Tree: A Family Fun Run

As part of PCJ’s 35th anniversary celebration,  the parish wanted to help in the rehabilitation of the creek by planting seedlings along its side.   In line with this, the Commission on Family organized a Family Fun Run entitled 3 for Tree  last February 25 to raise funds for the tree planting.

Families with at least 3 members were invited to join the fun run and at the same time adopt-a-tree for the creek.   Individual runners were also invited,  A total of  85 runners joined the said event.

The 3K run route started at the back parking of PCJ along F. Cruz Street then right Aguirre Avenue then U-turn just before Elizalde Street.  With the registration fee of P300 pesos, a runner was entitled to a free shirt.

Prizes were given to the top finishers.  Special prizes were given to the biggest family with 12 members, the youngest runner (0 year old) and the eldest (or the wisest) runner.  It was indeed a great time for families to bond as we celebrated our Parish Fiesta!

PCJ would like to thank everyone who joined “3 for Tree” and we look forward to another opportunity to plant trees for a greener BF community.
