Shaped to Become a Servant Leader

The Presentation of the Child Jesus Parish (PCJ) held a seminar on Servant Leadership last July 21, 2018 at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Center Hall B. Fifty-three (53) attendees comprising of different Commission Heads and Ministry Coordinators participated in the seminar.

The Servant Leadership Seminar is one of the Diocese of Paranaque-initiated seminars which it is cascading down to the parishes. When it was first conducted by the Diocese, four (4) representatives from PCJ attended the seminar at the Diocesan Center for Evangelization, along Villonco Road, West Service Road, Sucat, Paranaque City.

The seminar was then offered to PCJ’s commission and ministry heads as well as other servants who signed up for the first run. The parish intends to conduct this seminar in the future to give all parish servants the opportunity to attend.

The following topics were covered:

1. Shaped for Servanthood by Bro. Rommel Tillah. It was here where the “ways to serve the Lord” was discussed.

2. Image of a Servant Leader by Bro. Alex Atienza. Here, the ABCs of the image of a servant leader was disclosed.

3. Leadership Secrets of Jesus by Fr. Kevin Crisostomo, where the qualities of Jesus Christ were described.

During the post-seminar evaluation,  participants gave the topics discusses as well as the speakers, who kept all the sessions lively and encouraged active attendee participation, high ratings. Since, the seminar gathered a very high rating overall, a recommendation to do another run was emphasized in the evaluation summary. Hence, the organizers will schedule another run on the fourth quarter of this year.
